Answers to the questions German founders ask most often before they nominate.
Any founder, co-founder, owner or senior leader of a business based in or operating from Germany can enter — from early-stage startups in Berlin and Munich to established Mittelstand SMEs and fast-scaling growth companies across every region and sector.
Winners are chosen by an independent jury on merit. The panel assesses entrepreneurial leadership, innovation, market impact, revenue growth, business sustainability, scalability, vision and industry contribution. There is no public voting — recognition is earned through demonstrated performance.
German founders frequently enter Technology, AI, Manufacturing, Industrial, SaaS, E-Commerce, Sustainability, Startup, Women Entrepreneur, Young Entrepreneur and Scale-up of the Year categories. All 25+ industry sectors are open — including healthcare, real estate, education, retail, finance, fintech, digital transformation, hospitality, logistics, media, food & beverage, construction and more. You may enter more than one category where your achievements qualify.
The Golden Entrepreneur Awards 2026 gala takes place on Saturday 14 November 2026, 5:00 PM to 11:00 PM, at The Westin Dubai Mina Seyahi Beach Resort & Marina, Dubai. German winners are invited to attend and collect their honour in person.
Nominations are submitted in English, but your application is judged on the strength of your achievements rather than language polish. Many successful entries come from founders for whom English is a second language.
